Description
Jinhong Rock Sugar Orange is a premium new variety elected from the traditional rock sugar oranges. It matures in late November, with most of the fruits being round and averaging around 200 grams per fruit. The skin is smooth, orange-red in color, fine, and glossy. The fruits are well-shaped, uniform, with a rich sweet flavor, crispy texture, and tender flesh that melts in the mouth. The fruit is nearly seedless. It has a high soluble solids content of 14.2-15.8%, titratable acidity below 0.55%, and about 50 mg of vitamin C per 100 ml of juice. The fruit colors early, maturing about a week earlier than ordinary rock sugar oranges.
Even when stored until March of the following year, the fruit maintains its internal quality, and the flavor remains rich.
