Juicy Honey Pomelo (水蜜柚)

Description

Juicy Honey Pomelo is a local variety from Hunan Province, selected from native pomelos originally found in the Xiangxi region. The fruit is mostly flat-round in shape, with an average weight of 1,500 grams, making it a medium-to-large late-maturing pomelo. It ripens from late November to December, and can remain on the tree until February of the following year for harvest.

Its most distinctive feature is its low acidity—almost no sour taste—combined with abundant juice and a rich fragrance, which is why it is named Juicy Honey Pomelo. The flesh is white, with soluble solids content ranging from 13% to 15%.
