Description
The Huangguan pear was developed in 1977 by the Shijiazhuang Fruit Tree Research Institute of the Hebei Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences through hybridization, using Snowflake pear as the female parent and Shinseiki pear as the male parent.
The fruit is oval-shaped and large, with an average weight of 235 grams per fruit, and the largest ones weighing up to 360 grams. The fruit matures in mid-August. When ripe, the skin is yellow, smooth, with small fruit dots and no rust spots. Its appearance closely resembles that of the Jinguan/Golden Delicious apple, which is how it got its name.
Huangguan pears are delicious and juicy, with a sweet and slightly sour taste. They are rich in nutrients, containing various vitamins and fibers. They can be eaten raw or cooked by steaming.
Bare root shipping. Some leaves and branches will be trimmed off before shipping.
