Solstice Red (夏至红杨梅)

Description

Solstice Red is a new mid-ripening (mature around June 21) variety selected from a single plant of excellent pink bayberry in Xishan, Yuyao, Zhejiang. The fruit is nearly round, pink in color, with a flat top of the flesh column, an average single fruit weight of 15.1 g, and a soluble solid content of 11.2%. It has a sweet and sour flavor, a unique aroma, and excellent quality, suitable for fresh eating or processing; this variety has strong tree vigor and excellent fruiting performance.
