Description
The Yu’nan Seedless wampee is a specialty of Yu’nan County in Guangdong Province and a China National Geographic Indication Product. The seedless wampee has a relatively late maturity period, concentrated in late June. The fruit is relatively large, with sparse natural fruit set. The largest individual fruit weighs over 15 grams, with an average weight of 12 grams per fruit. The best flavor is achieved when the skin turns black. If the skin is still yellow, the fruit will taste very sour. As the fruit matures, the skin becomes thinner, and this is also when the fruit is most prone to cracking.
