Description
Also known as Gong Gan, is an excellent citrus variety unique to China, originating from Sihui in Guangdong. It gained the name “Gong Gan” because it was selected as a tribute fruit during the Northern Song Dynasty.
The fruit is either round or slightly flattened, of medium size, with an average weight of about 140 grams. The skin is smooth and turns a bright orange-yellow when fully ripe. The peel is delicate and thin, with soft, juicy pulp that offers a balanced sweet and sour taste with a refreshing aroma. Its flowering period is from early March to early April, and the fruit matures from late November to early January of the following year.
