Description
Also called 88 Red. The fruit has a short, cylindrical shape with a shallow calyx cavity, a flat shoulder, and a noticeably sunken apex. Each fruit weighs 15 grams. The skin is thin and crisp, turning yellow-green with evenly distributed white specks at the white-ripe stage—one of the key features distinguishing it from other varieties. During the crispy stage, the skin is yellowish-white, with a red ring around the calyx cavity, followed by red speckling known as “flower face,” marking the ideal harvest period. At full ripeness, the skin turns bright red, differing from the darker red of other varieties and offering a superior appearance in the market.
