The skin is entirely orange-red, with uniform coloring. The skin is not easily peeled, with sparse fuzz on the fruit surface, smooth and glossy. The flesh is orange-red, moderately juicy, with a crisp texture, few fibers, soluble solids content of 12%–14%, total sugar content of 8.8%, titratable acidity of 1.65%, with a pleasantly balanced sweet and sour taste, excellent for fresh consumption. It is freestone, with relatively large kernels containing bitter kernels. In the southern mountainous areas of Shandong, the fruit ripens on May 25th, with consistent ripening period. After harvest, it can be stored at room temperature for 5–7 days.

The perennial branches are gray-brown, while the 2-3 year old branches are reddish-brown, with dense branches, small and numerous lenticels, and horizontally growing. The one-year-old branches are flat or drooping, reddish-brown, with small and few lenticels.
