Description
The Gongfen Red guava, also known as Juzui Red or Short-Body Red, has pear-shaped fruit of medium size, with an average weight of about 85 grams per fruit. The fruit is relatively short, with thick, tender, and smooth flesh that has a sweet taste. When the fruit begins to ripen, the skin is white, and the top gradually turns pink. The fruit is considered perfectly ripe when half of it turns red, while the sepals remain green. The fruit matures in late July. This variety is tolerant to fertilizers, high-yielding, and resistant to storage and transportation.
