Description
Also called Baili Loquat. It is a high-quality, large-fruit loquat variety. The fruit is ovate or nearly round, with an orange-yellow, relatively thick skin that is resistant to rust spots, easy to peel, and not prone to cracking. Individual fruits weigh between 52.3 and 67.9 grams, with the largest reaching up to 115 grams. The flesh is 0.91–1.07 cm thick, with a high edible rate 72.6%–75.2%. The flesh is pale yellowish-white, delicate, melts in the mouth, and has an intensely sweet flavor. Soluble solids content ranges from 13.8% to 15.2%, peaking at 20.1%. Each fruit contains 3.0–4.2 seeds. The fruit matures from late April to early May.
