Description
Its characteristic is that the fruit is large and the stem is green, so it is called green stem bayberry. The fruit is nearly round, with no small shallow grooves on the surface. The base of the fruit stem is 2 to 3mm, and the convex height is about 2 mm. It is green when ripe. The core is hard, the flesh is thick, crisp, firm, sweet and sour, low in water content, and resistant to storage. The fruit diameter is 2.4 to 2.9cm, and the fruit thickness is 2.0 to 2.7cm. When ripe, except for the stem, the surface of the fruit is bright red to purple. The ripening period is at the end of May and the beginning of June.
